IT Service Guidelines for Soon-to-be Graduates

The Information Technology Service Center (ITSC) would like to congratulate you on your upcoming graduation. To ensure a smooth transition of your IT services, please follow these guidelines regarding your CMU Account:

1. Account Status and Verification

  • Account Validity: Your @cmu.ac.th account access depends entirely on your student status as recorded in the Registration Office (REG) system. You may verify your current status on the REG website.

  • Backup Grace Period: Once your status officially changes to "Graduated" in the REG system (after University Council approval), you will have 1 month to back up your data before the system automatically disables account access.

2. Preparation and Data Backup

  • Data Backup: We recommend installing the OneDrive app on your computer to sync and copy files to your personal device. Please also back up any important emails using Microsoft’s provided tools.

  • Updating Contact Information: If you have used your @cmu.ac.th email for external services or listed it in academic publications, please update them to your personal email address.

3. Extending @cmu.ac.th Account Usage

  • This option is available only after your status has officially changed to "Graduated."

  • You may submit a request for a yearly renewal for educational contact purposes via: https://cmu.to/re-alumac (Note: This service supports email functions only).

4. Requesting an Alumni Email (@alumni.cmu.ac.th)

  • This option is available only after your status has officially changed to "Graduated."

  • You can register for a dedicated alumni email at: https://alumni-email.cmu.ac.th/ (Note: This provides email services only; data from your student account will not be transferred).
